Abstract:Lack of in-depth evidence and well-defined causalities between the macroeconomic conditions of reform and restructuring and adjustment at company level, to explain and deal with transition problems, is still evident. This article aims to fill this gap in the literature in the case of the Slovenian economy by elucidating the causalities between the macroeconomic conditions of reform and the microeconomic adjustments of enterprises with ownership changes, investment and technological restructuring, and adjustment in marketing strategies.
