| Abstract: | This paper offers an in depth analyses of economic networks and impacts of the network activities. Historical context was used in this case study of Portuguese electrification to examine expansion and blockage of electrical networks. The review focuses on the first half of the twentieth century when interconnection or integration between companies was in initial stage. The authors show the consequences of one-way network and its allocational and distributional effects. |
