| Abstract: | This historical study compares Swedish and Canadian metal smelting firms and their environmental and economic performance over a 40-year period. The review takes in to account the changes in the national environmental policy and legislation and company strategy. The findings of this study highlight the role of Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) in environmental management studies. |
