| Abstract: | For the enhancement of trade over the Internet the availability of efficient and affordable payment systems is crucial. Creditcard companies, banks and the software industry have all been developing different approaches to fulfill customers' and merchants' needs. This paper gives a state-of-the-art survey by identifying the most promising payment systems that are being piloted or already in production. Some of them are complementary to each other while others in competition. |
