Abstract:The article claims that genre is an essential part in managerial communication, arguing that the fairy tale, a traditional narrative genre, lives on in organizations. Fairy tales are an invaluable source of folk-knowledge, but they also provide the reader with a one-dimensional experience and, in organizations, may enhance creativity and enable new insights.
