Abstract:A laboratory study in which the effect of sex-based preferential selection of leadership roles was compared to the merit based selection on the responses of 64 male and 76 female undergraduates, who were task leaders. The subjects and design, procedure, experimental manipulations, dependent measures, manipulation checks, and additional findings. Three Tables illustrate the study.
