Abstract:U.S. productivity has declined. But workers say they are not to blame; it's their work conditions that keep them down! Research by Jay Hall places the blame right on management's doorstep. Hall conducted a survey of more than 10, 000 U.S. workers - from chief executive officers to hourly employees - from a variety organizational types and demographics and locales throughout the United States. The results were revealing. 97% of U.S. workers want to work under conditions that are known to promote high productivity - conditions that encourage collaboration, commitment , and creativity.
