Abstract: | This paper deals with the diffusion (hereafter as: d-n.) of knowledge intensive business services (KIBS) in relation to information and communication technology (ICT) based innovations with their effect on productivity growth (here as: pr-g). The extent of KIBS d-n. is determined by intermediate purchases of KIBS by any other industry. This d-n. is seen as part of the broader process of organizational innovations. A significant positive relation is found between this measure of KIBS d-n. and the intensity of information technology (IT). Both the use of IT and KIBS contribute positively to labour pr-g. In addition, it is also found that the combination of these inputs adds further to pr-g. for the aggregate economy. |
