| Abstract: | If the environmental movement is to be treated not just as a threat but also as an opportunity, which it is for many businesses, then a strategic approach is essential. The implications are far reaching. In many cases they will include: establishing a new mission, realigning the company's value system and modifying behaviour throughout the organization. New approaches will be needed to manage the change but many familiar planning concepts and techniques may be used. The benefit will be seen in bottom line results because this is the new area for competitive advantage. |
