Abstract:The report is concerned with the retail market for beer in Germany. Sales through hotel, restaurants and catering establishments are excluded, unless stated otherwise. For the report, the market has been divided into two principal categories, that is, standard full strenght beer and low/non-alcoholic beer. There are two main types, namely "Untergarige Biere" (bottom-fermented) and "Obergarige Biere" (top-fermented). The report presents key trends and developments (packaging) and information on relevant consumer expenditure and legislation (in short). Information on market sectors and size and company information with some of their brands is also presented. Consumer profiles, distribution information and outlooks are also reported.
