Abstract:This paper concentrates on leisure travel expenditure patterns and it examines how family life cycle (FLC) stages influence the probability and the level of travel expenditures. According to the study, married couples without children are more likely to spend on leisure travel than singles, whereas singles are more likely to spend on leisure travel than single parents. Also married couples with children spend considerably more than singles. Factors such as time, money and various sosiodemographic characteristics are strongly related to the spending patterns and total expenditures of leisure travelling.
