Abstract: | It is examined how secular immortality is attained through consumer affluence. According to the ideology of affluence, entrepreneurial achievement is a prominent route to secular immortality. Two other ways that directly incorporate the consumption style of the affluent are conspicuous consumption and the collecting of craft/art objects. |
