Abstract:Because organizational management systems tend to grow organically over time, they are often at cross-purposes with overall objectives, systems and cultures. This phenomenon is examined with particular attention paid to personnel management, motivation and reward systems. Three totally interrelated and interdependent major facets of any business operation are described and analyzed: 1. the business plan; 2. the total management of quality; 3. the process of performance related appraisal and reward. The benefits of totally integrated management system are summarized.
