Abstract:Many large companies, mainly those making large scale üredundancies, have made efforts to stimulate job creation in the localities in which they are based. This is the establishment of a "resettlement scheme". Resettlement teams are formed, which should offer assistance to workers who are interested in self-employment. A lot of examples are mentioned to show the wide range of job creation possibilities, the development of small business, providing soft loans, advice and premises. Many forms of assistance or counselling are available. The role of the government support, the employment of specialist job creation firms as well as the function of enterprise agencies are evaluated.
