| Abstract: | A framework for categorizing the uncertainties faced by firms operating internationally is developed. This framework offers a basis for comprehensive assessment of uncertainty exposures and explicit considerations of the uncertainty trade-offs associated with alternative firm strategies. Various financial and strategic responses for environmental uncertainties are outlined. |
