| Abstract: | The author of this article, the head of the world's largest food processing conglomerate, Nestle SA, speaks out on the pros and cons of environmental awareness. He clearly states the need for corporations both large and small to adopt stringent environmental standards which will ensure both high quality and competitiveness. However, he calls a warning to the perils of environmental fundamentalism, and reiterates that environmental issues are tightly bound to economic development and population growth. |
