Abstract: | Human resources development in China is presented in the enclosed articles. Specific characteristics of management are presented with the way those involved in developing China-Europe International Business School are paying need to them. Recruiting and retaining managers is the number one problem faced by foreign enterprises in China, followed at some distance by bureaucracy. Many foreign enterprises use expatriates to manage their China operations, especially in the early phase. All realize, however, that in the longer term companies have to invest and recruit in local management. |
