Abstract: | In this paper, the implications of telecommunications order's changes on the economic role of the state are examined. It identifies regulation as an increasingly important mode of government intervention in the economy. The regulatory arsenal of states for restructuring global telecommunications includes new regulation, deregulation, and reregulation. In this paper, two types of regulation are distinguished. |
