| Abstract: | The effectiveness of an interviewee skills training program is evaluated. An experimental design was used with a self-study group /n 140/, and random assignment. A field setting was used with a broad sample of interviewers, jobs, and candidates. Results showed that class members responded positively to the content of the training, and demonstrated substantial learning. Interviewer evaluations of behaviour failed to distinguish between experimental groups, and no differences were observed in job offers. |
