Abstract:In the beginning BICC (British Insulated Callender's Cables), Britain's big cable producer neglected shareholders. Then, chief executive Biggam, R. set out to double earnings per share. During the 198os recession, BICC held up better than most companies in mature sectors of production. Producing in fewer and newer factories allowed better use of resources. BICC Cables chairman reorganised the company into market oriented divisions. The basic principle of the company is to offer high quality at least cost to achieve high rewards.
