| Abstract: | Service as an object of trade is characterized. Examples from the field of telecommunication are presented. Some guidelines for an economic analysis of services are offered. Relationships between wages and competitiveness are described and analyzed. A number of other factors and conditions of competitiveness are also described (quality, associated products or other services, information). Some questions of productivity are addressed. International trade in services is examined and its relevance for economic development is demonstrated. |
