| Abstract: | The paper presents new evidence on the question of how immigration affects native employment, focusing on the extent to which displacement effects of immigration are mitigated, focusing on the extent to which displacement effects of immigration are mitigated or amplified by cross-country differences in institutions. The authors are especially interestd in the question of whether measures of labour and product-market flexibility change the impact of immigration on native employment. |
