Abstract:The need for pension funds motivate trustees to ensure that day-to-day investment dealings in large portfolios and the commissions generated by such funds do not infringe monitor performance guidelines laid down by shareholders or lead the Inland Revenue to allege that fund trading is occurring. The author warns against highrisk short-term rewards and recommends long-term objectives.
