| Abstract: | This article examines the wage gap btw. genders and proposes a task-specificity model instead of human capital approach. It is argued that the differences in earnings cannot be explained simply by sex but by characteristics of the job. The methodological problems considering the model are discussed, and the model is tested analyzing data from the Spanish Survey on Wage Structure. |
