Abstract: | This paper examines the effects upon an organization of competing, complementary and cooperative stakeholder interactions, referred to as stakeholder multiplicity. It develops a framework by drawing upon previous theories and grounding it through reference to three stakeholder groups (governments, customers and employees) and the stakeholder issue of concern for the natural environment. The article proposes a hierarchy of the multiplicity strength of influence of these three stakeholder groups. |
