Abstract: | Contrary to some common beliefs of ethical behaviour being inborn, this study suggests that education does matter. Ethics education (henceforth as: e-education) and its relationship with students' ethical awareness (as: e-awareness) and moral reasoning (as: m-rsng.) are herein examined. It is hypothesized that students with e-education will have a greater e-awareness and ability for making more ethical decisions. Testing the hypotheses in two undergraduate business courses at a major research university with over 700 students sampled, e-education is found to improve students' e-awareness and m-rsng. In addition, the results also appear to show that students' readiness moderated their learning outcomes. |
