| Abstract: | This paper elaborates Deng Xiaoping's thought on opposing equalitarianism and his practical activities over half a century from the period of land reform to the third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC. Three heavy blows on him in his political life are all connected with his answering perseverance in opposing egalitarianism. During the various important periods in Chinese revolutionary history, Deng sticked to drawing a clear demarcation between the scientific socialism and egalitarianism, analyzing and exposing the harmfulness of egalitarianism, and trying to take measures to overcome it and has been playing a major and historic roll in rectifying the party's line and policy, promoting the revolution and construction, and protecting and developing productive forces. |
