Abstract:In China urban area, the house possession status is in a quite high level. The actual low consumption expenditures have presented a false appearance. In fact, the macro consumption for residential buildings has reached a relatively comfortable standard of living, featuring an in-advance level. At the moment, there are about 600 million m2 overstocked residential buildings in the market, which is the result of the leading house construction ahead of the practical economic growth. The housing development should be put in such a position that the investment in urban residential buildings is to be maintained at around 15% of the urban fixed assets investment, the policy for housing consumption is to be focused on house rent reform with the same stress to be laid on both renting and selling, and the benefit system is also to be readjusted.
