Abstract:Due to the unbalance of economic development and the imperfectly reasonableness in social distribution pattern, while the level of urban residents' income has been on the rise universally, income gaps have also widened distinctly. Some phenomena of unfair income distribution have even appeared. If the income gap is too small, it will be harmful to motivating workers' enthusiasm and will influence the improvement in economic efficiency. However, if the income gap is too wide, it will exert a negative impact on the healthy development of the national economy. Therefore, it is particularly important to adjust excessively wide gaps and keep them within a proper extent.
