| Abstract: | This article analyses gender and employment in 10 Central Eastern European countries. The context is set with demographic, economic, and labour market trends, such as population, GDP and unemployment rates. Also the gender pay gap is explored and compared to patterns in Western Europe. The advances and limits of harmonization through EU gender-equality legislation is also discussed. |
