| Abstract: | Peter J.Clarke of the Department of Accountancy at University College Dublin looks at the major criticisms of management accounting practice and suggests how management accounting can respond to retain its "relevance" focus. Many criticisms have recently been made in professional journals about the current state of management accounting practice. The purpose of this article is to outline briefly these criticisms and to suggest how they can be viewed in the context of world class manufacturing. |
