| Abstract: | There is a very simple reason why you need to change your material flow process. It is called survival. Customers are demanding smaller lot sizes, shorter lead times and higher quality. Speed, flexibility, and zero errors, customers want it all. Beyond the obvious survival imperative, there is another reason for making this change. The material flow pipeline is the factory's foundation. Streamlining the flow of material through the factory is key to reducing cycle time and increasing productivity. It is the only way to stay competitive in our global economy. |
