Abstract: | Using the omnivorous-univorous theoretical framework of the arts marketing studies, this study identifies relationships btw. the live-performing arts and cultural tourism behaviour and preferences (herein as: b-and-ps). In the study, a major performing arts centre patrons were segmented in three groups: i. sporadic, ii. univores and iii. omnivores. The cultural tourism b-and-ps. of patrons were explored. Using statistical analysis, significant differences were found among groups as to demographic characteristics, art and culture consumption and cultural tourism b-and-ps. The results propose the existence of omnivorous cultural tourists seeking a wide variety of cultural products and experiences. |
