Abstract:The growth of global retailing has led to a remarkable shift in power from suppliers (hereafter as: supps.) to retailers (here as: retls). This Cover story article examines how supps. and retls. can agree on pricing and discounting. The author believes that a sea-change in retail marketing and internal conflict resolution is needed, which is made possible through introduction of global customer teams.
