Abstract:Person-organization fit (P-O fit) variable reveals the way in which employees perceive their relationship with the organization they work for. This study compares two different assessments of P-O fit: actual fit and perceived fit. The four quadrants of the Competing Values Framework (CVF) are used to examine which values have the strongest influence on employees' fit perceptions. Predictive power (as: PP.) of the indirect fit measure on the direct fit measure is tested using a sample of two organizations (that is, hospital n1 = 222, and chemical plant n2 = 550). The four CVF quadrants human relations values are shown to have the strongest PP. for employees' fit perceptions and rational goal values contribute least etc.
