Abstract:The paper aims to examine the effects of various sources of management's social power on corporate ethical values, retailers' commitment to the retail organization as well as retail firm performance, specifically sales and service quality. The authors gather data from different stakeholder positions, such as brand owners, retail managers and employees, in 225 retail companies. The results of the study indicate that a strong link exists between social power, ethical values and organizational commitment. These aspects seem to further influence the company's sales and service quality.
