| Abstract: | During the period of the Ninth Five-Year Plan, a strategy of large-sized corporations and groups will be practiced to reform and develop state-owned enterprises. And emphasis will be put on the development of 1000 large state-owned enterprises which are of importance to the nation's economy and the people's livelihood, and 100 trans-regional and trans-industrial enterprise groups in order to make them the pillar of the national economy. By the end of this century, the modern enterprise system suiting the system of socialist market economy and the operational system of state-owned assets will be established basically. Efforts will be made to raise the economic returns of enterprises and the overall social effect. |
