| Abstract: | According to forecast, by the year 2000, China will become the first big beer market in the world. At that time, China's consumption of beer is estimated to reach 25 billion liters. In recent years, China has set up 30 beer joint ventures with foreign countries. American AB corporation, the beer monopoly bought 5% of the shares of Qindao Brewery, China's largest brewery for USD 16.40 million two years ago and bought 80% of the shares of another brewery, the largest in Wuhan in central China for USD 0.14 billion which was 2-fold over the buying price offered by a Holland's corporation. |
