| Abstract: | Despite the weak findings of industrial psychologists on the use of personality in selection there appears to be adequate reason to believe that personality plays an important role in executive performance. Nevertheless, practical considerations limit the potential applicability of selecting the manager to match the strategy using personal data. The question then must centre on the usefulness of these findings to the strategic management field. |
