| Abstract: | Semiotics of culture is a discipline focusing on interaction of semiotic systems of differing orders, on the unevenness of semiotic space. Viewed from this angle text is not the realization of a statement in a single language, but rather a complex mechanism containing multiple codes and capable of transforming and generating information. This changes the traditional relation of "the user decodes the text" into "the user communicates with the text". |
