| Abstract: | Multiperiod expansion of telecommunication network facilities is most crucial for accomodating growing traffic requirements and deploying new services. The driving forces include the accelerating demand for more intelligent and diversified services, supporting data, voice and video communications on the demand side, and rapid technological innovations on the supplier side. The authors enhance their earlier formulations for the multiperiod network topology and capacity expansion problem and propose new lower bounding schemes. |
