| Abstract: | Efficient solving of process control problems requires manipulating with a wide spectrum of knowledge representations ranging from purely analytical knowledge up to qualitative knowledge.These tendencies caused the growing interest of using methods that are flexible enough to accomodate the knowledge based paradigms.In the paper, the environment for development of real - time expert systems - G2 is presented.G2 represents a strong object - oriented environment, combining knowledge - based techniques with conventional programming techniques.The basic concepts and characteristics of G2 are represented by the application of the simulation environment for the chemical SiO2 process. |
