Abstract: | Is India's coalition government serious about continuing the historic reforms launched five years ago? Many foreign investors doubt it - and New Delhi may not have much time to convince them otherwise. Like it or not, capitalism is to a large extent about selling oneself - and selling anything requires speaking the same sort of language as your buyer. Investors aren't exactly flocking to India. After six months in power, India's 13-party United Front coalition has failed to convince either foreigners or the country's own private sector that it is serious about pursuing reforms. |
