Abstract: | In the last five years, namely the Eighth Five-Year plan period, China has achieved new progress in the financial system, taxation system, banking, pricing, the reform of the state-owned enterprises, agriculture, planning, investment, social security system. While major reform efforts are in work, China maintains its social and political stability and economy continues to register high growth rates. The coming 15 years will be an important period of time for continued Chinese reform-and-opening and modernization efforts. The article points out the principles measures and tasks to attain the targets of Chinese economic and social development in the coming 15 years, and makes some proposals to promote multilateral Chinese cooperation with Northeast Asia. |
