Abstract:Considering from either demand or development, houses for urban residents are China's largest consumer market in the future. However, there are three contradictions which may seriously limit the healthy development of housing consumption market. 1.The contradiction between the low incomes of residents and the high price of houses; 2. The housing investment system is not truly marketized. 3. The lack of complementing second-level market for housing circulation and lease. Government has to give first consideration of the flowing items in its policy guidance: How to settle the historic debts on housing of state-owned enterprises. What kinds of subjects of consumption does housing market have to face? How to determine the proportion between the market for sales and the market of lease in a reasonable way? Who is the greatest beneficiary ?
