| Abstract: | This study examines the association btw. investment opportunity set (IOS), free cash flows (FCF) and debt. It also tests firm size effects. A sample of 1869 observations from 1989 to 1993 for non-regulated U.S. firms is used. The results show, among others, that there is a significantly positive association btw. FCF and debt for low IOS firms. |
