ANALYTICAL REVIEW
Language:eng
Abstract:The author of the article considers the African oil resources. He states that president of Sao Tome and Principe has an agreement with Nigeria to develop off- shore oil resources. Much is ridding on successful oil exploration to uplift Sao Tome. The country is struggling to feed its rapidly growing population through a combination of domestic production and expensive food imports. The author states that how well the income from any oil production can be used to benefit the people of Sao Tome and Principe is debatable. Few links will be made with local economy, as there is little or no suitable local infrastructure and few nationals can be employed at a technical level.
