Abstract:Some think that by consuming more we can improve our well-being. The opposite argument is that the consumption in modern society is both environmentally and psychologically damaging and therefore reduced consumption cannot reduce the quality of life. This article discusses the concept of sustainable consumption by viewing two opposite viewpoints about consumer behaviour and its effects.
