Abstract: | Originally the Personality Audit (PA) was created so that the various motivational needs of executives could be clarified. By taking a psychodynamic approach to leadership, PA can provide insights about the different personality dimensions and potential blind spots of personality for individuals. This way appropriate development goals for executives can be formulated. The authors examine the psychometric properties and design of PA. Differently from other tools developed to clarify the individuals inner theatre, the PA provides information not only about the perceptions of the test-taker but also about the perceptions of the observers and their thoughts about the private and public spheres of the test-taker. The article considers the conceptual basis of the PA questionnaire, the methods used to evaluate its validity and reliability, and also the possible future research questions concerning PA. |
