Abstract:This study makes a contribution to web-based destination marketing in conjunction with destination branding strategy by analysing the 50 US states' official tourism websites with respect to their image building and branding. Findings show that the more clearly the tourism slogan of each state reflects the unique selling proposition of the brand, the more efficient a message it tends to deliver.
